MENU for October 22th: Carlson’s Chili –
– Wednesday evenings will be run a little differently this year and we are so excited to share!!! This year we are working on inviting everyone to sit at the Table with Jesus and enjoy a meal! For those who would like to stay for Connection Groups, which we hope includes YOU, we are going to have adults and youth 6th grade & up break into connectional groups after dinner.  We will have Children’s Church for K-5 and nursery for our littles. children & youth – Several rooms will be dedicated to host these ‘connection groups’, and there will be multiple groups to choose from!  So, the schedule will be:
Dinner 6:00-6:45, Clean up 6:45-7:00,  Devotion/Worship from 7:00-7:10, and, then, we will break into Connection Groups and have discussions until 8:00pm.  There will be talk sheets to help create conversation BUT if the room goes in a different (healthy conversations) paths, prayers &/or another direction from the conversation starter – that is okay!!  We want this to be authentic. We want to have people find a place at the table in PECULIAR UMC!!!

We could use kitchen helpers AND ’trunks’, and LOTS OF candy!! Lasagna Love’s mission is to feed families, spread kindness, and strengthen communities. Through their neighbor-to-neighbor movement, they connect volunteer lasagna chefs who want to help with individuals and families in need, providing home-cooked lasagnas made with love. They focus on removing barriers to asking for help, ensuring dignity and support, and delivering kindness without judgment or qualifications. Whether someone is facing financial challenges, emotional overwhelm, medical issues, or any other hardship, Lasagna Love strives to provide relief, hope, and connection through the simple yet profound gesture of a warm meal. In honor and memory of Jeremiah Slater, who LOVED participating in Lasagna Love, we will be hosting a Lasagna prep day on Saturday, November 1st, at 9:00am here at the church. Please plan on joining us to pass along the love! If you have questions, contact Amber Slater or Erin Johnston. See Lasagnalove.org
This year’s Charge Conference will be on Sunday, November 9th, at 12:30pm. This will be a Zoom Conference with other churches, but we thought it would be great for our church to gather together and ‘zoom’ as a group! If you would like to stay for the charge conference, please plan on bringing a dish to share and we will eat together as soon as the service is over, and then ‘Zoom’ into the conference at 12:30.  Please let Pastor Wendy know if you are planning to join us.
