Sunday School

Name:  Friends & Followers & Fellowship (F3)
Time:  Sunday mornings, 9:30am   (Ongoing!)
Location:  Room 105
Teacher:  Amy Carlson
About:  The moment you walk in the door you are a friend.  We strive to find the passion, purpose and power for our lives that really makes a difference through the greatest love story ever told, the Bible.  We study various subjects using reference books, study books and the Bible.  We pray, we listen, we read, we discuss, we hang out, we snack.  As a believer in the truth and a teacher for a few decades, I will often research and share the original Greek or Hebrew text and cultural information to provide fresh insight.  It is meant for adults of all ages who are at all walks in their faith and want a sense of belonging through grace, compassion, encouragement and fellowship.  You can listen and absorb or participate as much as you like.  If you are looking for a little more GRIT (grace, relationship, inspiration, and truth) please come join us.  Past studies include specific books of the Bible chosen by the class, a deep dive into heaven, and currently we are studying Powerful Prayers in the War Room.  Future topics include the Bait of Satan (the spirit of offense), Reclaiming Joy (overcoming the wrongs of rights – a spiritual minded book), Intercessory Prayer and topics or books that the class requests to help us find peace in a world of chaos.   If you’d like more information, contact Amy at peculiardrama@hotmail.com

Name:  Grey Kingdom Discussion Group
Time:  Sunday mornings, 9:30am  (Beginning Sept. 8th!)
Location: Room 109 (Reflection Room)
Facilitator: Tim Collins
About:  God is Absolute. Humanity is not, in fact, humanity is messy. This is intended to be a forum to discuss topics and issues that tend to pull us in multiple directions rather than simple black and white. It is likely that we will face opposing views, even amongst ourselves. In other words, we live in the grey areas whether we like it or not. There are a lot of topics that the world is willing to throw at us that confuse or mislead us. Bring them with you. Also, the events that shape our communities, society, and world will provide topics for discussion. Let’s have discussions that will help us discover how to live in those grey areas and remain strong in our faith. We will be using scripture to guide us and expect to use live research (i.e. Google) to help us find biblical references for our discussions. Bring your Bible, questions, ideas, smart phone, and coffee. If you’d like more information, contact Tim at timcollins1717@gmail.com.

Name:  Café Conversations with the Pastor
Time:  Monthly, Sundays (Dates & times will be announced)
Location: Foyer café Area
Facilitator: Wendy Minshall
About:  Join the pastor monthly for a conversation about… well, all sorts of things! Sometimes we’ll chat about needs in our area; we might discuss church business and financials; we might have question and answer time; we might just open it up to whatever is on peoples’ mind. The goal is to get to know your pastor better, let the pastor get to know you better, and have healthy discussions for the purpose of point people to Jesus. If you’d like more information, contact Pastor Wendy at wendym@pecuiarumc.org.
